- Population: 12 000 000
- Prevalence of HIV/AIDS: 1 320 739
- Orphans 989 000 1… “Zimbabwe has a higher number of orphans, in proportion to its population, than any other country in the world, according to UNICEF. In fact, as many as 1 in 4 children in Zimbabwe are orphaned as a result of parents dying from AIDS.”3
- Infant mortality has doubled since 1990.
- In 2008 Zimbabwe had a Cholera Epidemic which killed 4000 people out of more that 100,000 who had been infected (This was the worst Cholera outbreak in Africa for the last 15 years).

- 1997 – 26.5% (peak)
- 2001 – 23.7%
- 2007 – 15.6%
- 2009 – 14.3%
